Christmas with GG Ma and Pop

Christmas windows at Saks 5th Avenue in NYC, cookies and milk for Santa, and visiting Aunt Jen in the hospital.

CootieGirl has been doing great with her potty-training. Fewer accidents, a willingness to take herself into the bathroom and do what needs to be done – it’s great! The last hurdle is nighttime accidents. A few nights ago I told CootieGirl that if she could go five nights in a row without getting her pull-up wet, that she wouldn’t have to wear pull-ups to bed anymore. She was thrilled by the prospect and totally on board.
The first morning – totally dry. We circled the “1″ on the chart I had made. She was so happy. However, the second morning she was wet. I told her we were going to start over. The next morning (yesterday): totally dry. So we put a second circle around the “1″. This morning she was dry again, so she drew a circle around “2″ and happily got ready for school.
I’ve been diligent about having her go potty right before she goes to bed, and she’s quickly learning that by doing that she’ll be dry in the morning. We only have five or six more pull-ups left. I think I’ll have CootieDad buy one more small pack, which we’ll use for the upcoming long car trips, but I think that’ll be the last of the pull-ups for our dear Ms. CootieGirl!
Next up: Getting CootieBoy started on potty-training.

Our friends Ted and Anne were here last weekend for a visit and to attend our White Elephant party. They came baring gifts. CootieGirl got a fancy jewelry box.
